Our new fuel, EnviroBlend4™ is a blend of domestically produced, renewable biodiesel and low-sulfur heating oil.
With prices at record highs, the only sure way families can reduce their energy cost is by reducing their demand for conventional energy. Adding biodiesel to our fuel will automatically reduce our customers oil heat consumption, improves the environment, and help reduce our nation’s dependence of foreign oil.

EnviroBlend4™ is delivered to all Westmore heating oil customers at no extra cost. Actually, New York State residents will be putting money in their pockets. Governor David Paterson is making New York a "greener" state with the BioHeat Tax Credit. With this incentive, heating oil consumers will receive a tax credit on each gallon of biodiesel they purchase.

Gov. David Paterson has restored the tax credit that was originally enacted by Gov. George Pataki but had lapsed in mid-2007.
For each gallon of biodiesel, consumers will receive a $0.02 tax credit. Furthermore, the New York state Biodiesel tax credit will extend for "Four More Years!" to 2012.
EnviroBlend4™ BioHeat® is a cleaner-burning fuel that is better for the environment and public health, producing 75 percent less sulfur emissions, 12 percent less nitrogen oxide emissions, and 10 percent less carbon dioxide emissions. It helps reduce the greenhouse gases which are a main cause of global warming.

EnviroBlend4™ is blended at Westmore’s marine storage terminal in Port Chester, NY. This process guarantees our customers receive the finest heating oil our industry offers.
EnviroBlend4™ does not contain ethanol and will not cause any problems for your current heating system or storage tank. EnviroBlend4™ works with the same burner and system you already have. No upgrades or modifications are necessary. In fact, EnviroBlend4™ will improve your efficiency since it burns cleaner and produces less soot and fewer particulates.
Biodiesel is made from natural agriculture products that are completely organic, biodegradable, and non-toxic. It contains virtually no sulfur or aromatics and is proven to reduce CO2 and other emissions. It’s produced right here in the USA and is a great way to decrease our country’s dependence on conventional heating oil, improve our energy security, and the balance of trade.

Biodiesel is produced from raw vegetable oils or animal fats, then it must go through a chemical reaction process called transesterification to make it into biodiesel and is tested to make sure it meets the proper grade to blend with conventional heating oil.
